For the past few months, my beauty purchases had been found primarily at the drugstore and Target. I’ve really enjoyed being able to try amazing products without breaking the bank and surprisingly, there are some amazing products I’ve discovered!
I’ve been holding on to a Sephora Gift Card that I received for my birthday in December and last weekend I finally had the urge to spend it. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not like the card wasn’t burning a hole in my wallet, but more so that I hadn’t figured out what product was worth letting go of the generous gift. I ultimately decided to try a higher end foundation stick by MakeUp Forever. I’ve heard such wonderful things about this foundation stick and I’ve been dying to try a formula that provides a mask like full coverage for nights out.
I let the beauty expert at Sephora use their color matching gadget to find my shade (really cool process if you haven’t tried it.) and walked out with a new foundation along with a couple of other goodies I couldn’t resist. I’ll be going on vacation soon so I’m saving the sheet mask I purchased for the flight and a slate grey nail sounds like an amazing year round color to add edge.
1. MakeUp For Ever Ultra HD Foundation Stick in 177 = Y505: The shade is slightly darker than my skin tone, but gives me a nice bronze coverage that blends nicely. When I tried the shade above this one, it gave off a dry and ashy finish.
2. Dr. Jart Clearing Solution Ultra-Fine Microfiber Sheet Mask: I’m no stranger to sheet masks, but this brand has been on my radar for a while. The Korean beauty market has boomed, and I just love the approach this brand has on skincare.
3. Formula X Nail Color in Gray Matter – Gray nail color in Spring? Another check in my edgy badass box.
