The Year of Hydration

May I just say, that I have truly enjoyed posts I’ve read about you all not wanting to make resolutions for the new year. I, like many of you dislike making resolutions because I almost always lose my dedication by March. I realized that part of the reason that happens is that I am completely overzealous when I choose them.

Honestly, am I really going to start working out like a VS model,  go on a year long spending freeze or cut out pasta once and for all? Not likely. So this year I made a goal to do something that I really needed to do, and it won’t be too much of a hassle. I’m drinking more water.

I’m not a huge water drinker. I drink water when I’m thirsty but that’s really it. Other than that I’m drinking coffee, or sweet tea because I love the taste. I’ve committed myself to drinking 1.5 – 3 liters of water a day…no matter what. I’m hoping that this not only helps my body function at it’s optimum level but that I begin to see that I may not need as much coffee as I once did.

I purchased this Rove water bottle that I’ve been toting around to ensure I drink the correct amount. It’s perfect for work, home and the gym! I’m postive that this goal will be a lot easier to maintain, and great skin is an awesome motivator as well!

Tell me about your “goals” this year.
