No matter what makeup palette I purchase, I almost always get a blue shade included. I’m not a HUGE fan of blue shadow because I feel it looks overworked even when I use a little of it. The first blue shadow I ever purchased was an electric blue cream shadow from MAC and the moment I got it home, I regretted it. But last week, I wanted to try to make blue work somehow.
I went to my trustee Anastasia Beverly Hills Artist palette and played around with the “Blue Velvet” shade. It’s a deep cobalt which surprisingly paired well with my skin and made my brown eyes look even browner! It made a statement without making me look cheesy. I blended the color into my crease and used a bit of the purple shade “Unicorn” on the center of lid to add dimension. I also used my MAC Skinfinish in Superb to highlight my inner corners.
A swipe of black liquid liner, and flutter lashes made it all come together!
What colors are you intimidated to try?
