When I decided to start a blog about my love of beauty I knew that I would have to expose the nature of my product-junkiness. I’m a fiend for beauty products and I make it my mission to try everything I possibly can. Because of this, I am interested in all products no matter the price. I’m not blessed with an unlimited beauty fund so I must be selective on items I choose to splurge on and there are so many options when it comes to splurging! So I rounded up a few items I own that are at the top of my price list. Some I purchased, some I didn’t.
1. LaMer “The Powder” – I mentioned this powder in a previous post. I gifted myself with this powder because I’ve been wanting to try LaMer anything because of the rave reviews. I figured this would be a product I could wear all the time, and would be an awesome investment. I will say, this was worth the splurge. The powder is so lightweight it goes on without caking and it doesn’t make me look “ashy.” Also a little goes a long way. I could see myself having this jar for a long time. ($65)
2. Chanel Rouge Coco Shine in “Aura” – Every girl needs a little Chanel in their life and while the signature quilted bag would have been my first choice, my bank account was only prepared to bless me with this lipstick. I chose this unique color because I had nothing like it in my makeup bag. It’s a mysterious brownish/purplish hue that makes me feel incredibly sexy….and interesting. I don’t wear it often but when I do I tend to hold my head a little higher. ($36)
3. La Mer Regenerating Serum – This was a sample given to me when I purchased the powder and I’m obsessed with it. Whenever I had a bad day, I smear this on my face after a shower to ensure the next day would be a better one, or at least I would look like it was. Believe me, I am selective with my bad days when it comes to this stuff. If feels amazing on the skin and I really do have a glow when I wake. It’s lovely. ($310)
4. 24K Deep Day Moisturizer Cream – This was a featured item in my Glossy Box I instantly loved the packaging. I held off on using it because I had been testing a couple of other moisturizers and wanted to see how they were working for my skin. When I did get around to trying this I was astounded at how different it felt. It went on very velvety and absorbed well. It’s infused with Sunflower Oil and is supposed to be fantastic for lines and wrinkles. I was so impressed, I went online to order some and saw the hefty price! At that moment I realized two things. I spacing these samples out, and this will also be an as-needed product. ($118)
Collectively, I’m looking at $529 worth of luxury in these products. I know I’d never purchase all of these on my own, but it’s nice to know that giving my skin first class treatment only involves a trip to my bathroom.
