I find a lot of my makeup inspiration online. I’m completely self-taughtand although I have worked at a makeup counter, I’m always looking to learn new techniques and perfect my “craft.” I also am really only interested in improving my own look! I saw a GORGEOUS look from one of the artists I follow on Instagram @roseandben and instantly wanted to re-create it. She was able to take what I call a “mod” look of heavy eyeliner and eye popping techniques and turn mod into modern with lavender hues.
I have to admit, I only have three eyeshadow palettes I’m working from right now and a few loose pots. I took my Too Faced Chocolate Bar palette and used the lightest shade, “crème brulee” on my lid and the “champagne truffle” color for the tear duct detail. I had to dip a small pencil brush in water and apply the detail to make it pop a bit more. I also used a white eyeliner pencil in my waterline and finished the look with my Khroma Lip Pencil in “Modern Mauve.”
I’ve been anti false lashes lately, so I finished with two strong coats of my ipsy sample of Tarte mascara.
And for all those interested, here is the inspiration photo. You all should check her out on Instagram and YouTube!
